Download TestFlight
TestFlight is Apple’s free app for trying apps before they are released. Install it from the App Store. Your invitation will guide you if a paired Apple device is involved.

Open your invitation
Choose how you received your invitation below, then follow the matching instructions.
How did you receive your invitation?
Open the TestFlight email
Find the invitation email from TestFlight and select “View in TestFlight.” TestFlight should open and show the beta you were invited to test.
Can’t find it? Check Spam, Junk, Promotions, and Updates, then search for “TestFlight.”
Privacy noteWith an email invitation, the developer can see the name and email address used for the invitation.
If it does not workStill missing? Confirm which email address the developer invited and ask them to resend it.
Tip: Install TestFlight first, then return to your invitation and open it again.

Accept and install
Follow the instructions shown to accept and install the beta. If you were given a redemption code, enter it in TestFlight. The beta app will then appear with your other apps.
If you tested this app before, you may see “Update” or “Open” instead of “Install.”
Good to know
Beta apps work a little differently.
- Each TestFlight build is available for up to 90 days.
- A beta may have bugs or change between updates. That is normal.
- If the App Store version is already installed, the beta may replace it while you test.
- Test purchases do not carry over to the public App Store version.

I opened the invitation, but it showed a web page. What now?
Make sure TestFlight is installed, then return to the invitation and open it again. Depending on your platform, it may open TestFlight directly or show a redemption code to enter in TestFlight.
I can’t find the invitation email.
Check your Spam, Junk, Promotions, or Updates folders and search for “TestFlight.” The invitation is sent to the email address the developer used. If it is still missing, ask the person who invited you to resend it.
Why can’t I install the beta?
The beta may be full, expired, temporarily unavailable, or require a newer device or system version. The message in TestFlight usually explains why. If it does not, contact the person who invited you.
Is a beta app finished?
Not quite. A beta is an early version, so a few things may look unfinished or occasionally stop working. Avoid relying on it for critical information, and share anything unusual with the developer.
What information can the developer see?
TestFlight can share installation details, device and system information, sessions, crashes, and feedback. With an email invitation, the developer can also see the name and email used for the invitation. Apple explains the full details in its TestFlight privacy information.
How do I stop testing?
You can delete the beta app at any time. To leave the beta completely, open its page in TestFlight, find the Information section, and choose “Stop Testing.” If a public App Store version is available, you can then download it again from the App Store.
